Thank you for your interest in submitting a story. It will be our privilege to share your story.

We know how lonely receiving a life limiting diagnosis and/ or losing a child can be. That is why we created The MTM. We want to build a community and a safe place that can help.

The aim is twofold

  • firstly to share your children (because all of their stories deserve to be told)

  • but also to help readers to find the stories and connect with others in the hope it makes them feel less alone.

A few things to know before going ahead

 Guidance for your story

  • Aim for a minimum of 900 and maximum of 2000 words

  • Include high-res photos (if you have any), headings and even dot points if you can

  • Please, be patient as we edit stories. We may change some words or headings to help your story rank higher in google searches. We will share final drafts before publishing them.

  • The aim of the project is for people to be able to connect. Please provide a link to your social media page, website etc so readers can reach out or follow your journey.

Share advice and hope

  • You are welcome to share any part of your story and as much as you feel comfortable.

  • As well as sharing your story, we would like to be able to provide readers with some guidance and hope.

  • The MTM is an inclusive space for everyone and we want to amplify diverse voices, if you can help through your own experience please share it.

  • We ask that every submission provides an answer to the following

    • What has helped the most in navigating shock/ grief/ or what guidance can you offer someone advocating the medical system?

    • What piece of hope can you offer?

    • What has helped you?
